About Dr. Chabokrow

At Bluebonnet Foot and Ankle Institute in Austin, Texas, experienced podiatrist and surgeon Liza Chabokrow, DPM, cares for patients of all ages who experience foot or ankle problems. Dr. Chabokrow grew up in San Antonio, Texas, and received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University. She went on to graduate from podiatric medical school at Temple University and completed her surgical residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

During her residency, Dr. Chabokrow provided medical care to patients with diabetic and sports-related foot and ankle problems and has strong expertise and experience working with pediatric patients. She’s participated in Baja Project for crippled children and Heal Kenya, a global outreach program of Dell Children’s Hospital. Dr. Chabokrow has also traveled to Kenya to care for children living in impoverished areas.

Whether her patients require treatment for diabetic foot problems, a sports-related injury, arthritis, or another medical condition, Dr. Chabokrow is there for them. She recommends the most conservative treatment first but offers her surgical expertise if foot or ankle surgery is necessary to enhance foot and overall health.

Proficient in English, Spanish, Farsi, and American sign language, Dr. Chabokrow can communicate effectively with patients of different backgrounds and ethnicities. In her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and oboe, cooking, and baking.
